The Build Process
Once your site, finance, design and statutory approvals are in place, construction can begin. A HebHomes kit makes the structure faster and more predictable, but it is one part of the complete build.
The key to a smooth project is a clear handover between HebHomes and your Irish project team. Your architect or engineer, Assigned Certifier where applicable, main contractor and specialist trades should be appointed early, with every responsibility recorded in the contracts.
At a Glance
The precise sequence varies by site and contract, but most HebHomes projects in Ireland move through these seven stages.

Prepare the site
Your main contractor establishes safe access, clears and sets out the site, and coordinates temporary services, drainage and groundworks.

Construct the foundations
Foundations and the ground-floor build-up are completed to the project engineer’s design. HebHomes confirms the dimensional and access requirements for the kit erection.

Manufacture and plan delivery
HebHomes fabricates the agreed package and coordinates delivery and erection logistics. The site must be ready for articulated vehicles, lifting equipment and safe storage.

Deliver and erect the kit
The structural timber system is assembled in accordance with the approved technical information. The exact erection scope is the one stated in your HebHomes contract.

Complete the external envelope
Your project team coordinates roofing, cladding or render, flashings, airtightness interfaces and rainwater goods. A membrane-covered structure is not the same as a fully finished façade.

Services and internal fit-out
The main contractor and trades complete plumbing, electrics, ventilation, heating, insulation, linings, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms, finishes and external works.

Inspect, certify and hand over
Your Irish design and certification team completes inspections and the building-control documentation. The home should not be occupied until the required completion process has been satisfied.
Who Does What?
Responsibility depends on the written scope you choose. The following is the usual division for a HebHomes supply-and-erect project in Ireland.
HebHomes
- Develops the selected house design into the agreed timber-kit package
- Provides technical information relating to that package
- Manufactures, delivers and erects the contracted elements
- Coordinates with your appointed Irish professionals and contractor
Your Irish professional team
- Site assessment, planning and local design coordination
- Civil and structural engineering outside the HebHomes scope
- Building Regulations design and certification duties
- Inspections, BCMS submissions and completion documentation as applicable
Your main contractor
- Site setup, access, groundworks and foundations
- All works outside the HebHomes package
- Trade coordination, programme, safety and quality control
- Completion of the envelope, services, interiors and external works
Supply + Erect and Turnkey
Supply + Erect: HebHomes supplies and erects the contracted kit elements. You appoint an Irish main contractor to complete the remaining works.
Turnkey: this is also a main-contractor route, but with a broader contractor scope extending through to a completed home. It is not a separate procurement method. Availability and inclusions are project- and location-specific and must be confirmed in writing.
In every case, your quotation and contracts—not a general website description—define exactly what is included, excluded and handed over.
Preparing for your build
What should my contractor check before delivery?
Your contractor should confirm foundations, tolerances, access, hardstanding, scaffolding, lifting space, welfare and storage arrangements before manufacture and transport are committed.
Where can I check the agreed scope of work?
